'77 Sunset Strip' Star, Ann-Margret's Husband Was 84

Roger Smith, the suave leading man of television who starred on the popular 1950s-’60s ABC private eye series 77 Sunset Strip before a neuromuscular disease ended his acting career in his 30s, has died. He was 84. Smith, who went on to manage the career of Ann-Margret, his wife of 50 years, died Sunday at Sherman Oaks Hospital, a representative for the actress told The Hollywood Reporter. No cause of death was announced.

Black Mirror will return to Netflix for season 7 in 2025. The six-episode season of Charlie Brooker’s dark, satirical anthology series will include a sequel to the season 4 sci-fi adventure “USS Callister.” The news emerged at the Next on Netflix event at the Picturehouse Central cinema and cultural space in London on Thursday. The preview event brought a slew of casting and content announcements and featured various Netflix executives and stars.

'Carrie' Remake Actress Was 28

Samantha Weinstein, a Canadian actress since childhood who played high school student Heather in the 2013 remake of Carrie, has died. She was 28. Weinstein died May 14 at Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto after a battle with ovarian cancer. James Crammond, her agent at Noble Caplan Abrams in Toronto, said Weinstein worked up until May 4, doing an animation voice session. “A trouper to the end. We all miss her terribly,” Crammond told The Hollywood Reporter.

'Fargo' season two clues from season one

Viewers need not have seen season one of Fargo to understand season two — it’s an anthology series, and the story premiering Monday on FX stands very much on its own. They are, however, connected. Season two is a prequel of sorts to the first season, focusing on Minnesota state trooper Lou Solverson (Patrick Wilson) and a horrific crime in Sioux Falls, S.D. in 1979, in which he gets caught up. An older Lou (Keith Carradine) and other characters refer to it several times in season one.
